Name: Belladonna Boudreaux
Codename: Belladonna
Age: 23
Birthday: May 1st
Face: Angelina Jolie
Powers:
Kinetic-Energy Blast - Currently emotionally controlled only, medium strength.
Telepath – Very little defensive skill besides blocking out general thoughts, stronger of Belladonna's powers, but less used.
Personality:
Over the years Belladonna has become closed off from others, although she longs for some meaningful connection. She appears playful and carefree, but trust and friendship is something hard to urn after the life she has lived. She always up for a good time in order to drowned those memories of her past life out but at the end of the day she’s still looking for something more.
History:
Born into the head family of the New Orleans Assassin Guild, Belladonna Boudreaux was breed to follow in her family’s foot steps. Although allowed freedom to roam the only daughter of the Assassin Guildmaster lacked the true freedom of childhood. By the age of ten, Belladonna had developed the skill to bring a full grown man down to his knees and the knowledge and fortitude to take his life in an instant if necessary.
While surrounded in a house of allies, the only true friend she would find would be in the newly adopted son of her father’s enemy, the head of the New Orleans Thieves Guild, Jean Luc Lebeau. She and Remy would defy countless years of feuding and find peace within a constantly exploding war between the two underground organizations. Their persisting friendship that developing quickly into love would one day be the only way out of the deadly war for both sides. Still young and not yet ready for marriage Belladonna and Remy found themselves heading to the alter in order to save their families from tearing each other apart.
The night of the wedding Belladonna’s brother, Julian, attacked Remy outside the church claiming that the union dishonored his sister and the guild and he would bring back that honor with Remy’s blood. Swords were drawn and when the sword’s fell, Julian fell with them. Having apparently killed his brother-in-law – even while in self defense – Remy would be banished from New Orleans before morning before his new bride was able to find him again in the confusion of the aftermath of the night’s events and would not find him. Although morally wounded with the aid of “magic” Julian would make it though the night and within the month recover nearly a ninety percent of his health.
Julian’s hated of the Thieves Guild continued to be fed day after day as he watched what he believed to be a weakening of the mighty Assassin’s Guild by the peace formed between the two guilds. His already small forming upstart group of friends began to expand into other members of the guild’s ranks looking for unsatisfied members, ones looking to return to the days when Thieves where not allowed to mingle with the noble Assassins. Within a year’s time the silent fraction was formed and over took most of the Assassins Guild with no effort. Within two years Belladonna and Julian’s father who orchestrated the move to peace with his revival would die when his plane plummeted back down to the airstrip.
Without so much as a blink of grief Julian stood up to take his father’s place as the Guildmaster and broke all treaties of peace that have been put into effect and worked so hard to maintain. Loss in her own grief, Belladonna had not noticed the steadfast take to her father’s position that her brother had snatched up until a few days after the fact. She as all other guild members that suspected nothing of Marius’s death or applauded it fell into line behind Julian’s rule. Few that suspected else remained quite for the time being, watched, and waited.
Belladonna’s already advanced skilled continued to improve as she lost herself in training and assignments to deal with the increasing solitude and entrapment of her life. Burying herself in her work distracted Belladonna from the life around her and eventually blinded her to not only the everyday politics of the guild but her bother’s increasing tyranny and wreakless actions endangering the guild. Only when Julian’s attentions fell back onto his sister as he invited her into his inner circle would she really be exposed to the madness that her brother had been engulfed in.
Within his circle, Belladonna was “rewarded” for her status and her accomplishments in the guild with telepathic abilities and an unexpected and unknown energy force with the aid of “guild magic”. Magic that took a week for Belladonna to awaken from and longer for the unexplained bruises on her wrists and ankles to heal. In the middle of the night, she awoke to an argument but did not bother to get up. When it fell silent she made her way to the door and peaked out just in time to see the bodies of an entire family lying dead on the parlor floor, her brother with a smirk on his face and cold heartless words for people that they had grown up considering family. The last string of sympathy and disillusion that held her to her brother was cut and she quietly snuck back into her room as if nothing had happened, because until morning nothing would.
The following four weeks of her life was filled with looking for evidence, consulting the old council that had been disbanded as Julian took power, and her oldest confidence besides her long gone husband, Tattie Mattie on how and if she could bring her bother down. On the fourth anniversary of her father’s death, Belladonna Boudreaux-Lebeau challenged her brother for leadership of the Assassins Guild in order to restore its honor and laws. Not excepting defeat and feeling betrayed Julian charged his sister not expecting her to finish the job her husband started years before avenging her live, the guild’s honor, and her father’s death with one emotional blast of her new uncontrolled power.
The blast and energy lost from her own assault brought her to her knees where her brother’s slain and disturbed body lay. Refusing to look at what she had done she found her way to her feet and announced that no longer would one man rule the guild but that the law would change by her decree and that the council would now rule over the guild in order to insure that this abuse would never happen again. By morning Belladonna had disappeared from her family mansion along with her car and most of her belongings with only a document written out for the guild archives of her wishes of peace and the guild’s growth.
Out on her own, with powers she doesn’t understand and a home she could not go back to she drove off in search of a life that didn’t leave her quite so hollow and alone.
